Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I should be optimizing for, considering a multitude of things such as my age, geographic location, and current fascinations. I find myself increasingly interested in the idea of cultivating a proprietary knowledge base and proprietary skillset, which I define as anything that can relate to one’s unique insight about something that has the potential to become defensible – which I intentionally left ambiguous.
Though, I don’t know where I’ll be or what I’ll be doing in the next couple of years, I do know that I want to 1. be able to have thoughtful opinions about what the future may look like and 2. be able to meet incredible founders building non-obvious solutions to problems that will be massive someday.
